About Sam Smith

My name is Sam and I am the proud owner of "Forest" and Stay Wyld Adventures LLC. I built out this van to be my dream ski cabin on wheels in the winter and adventure mobile in the summer. My van conversion was professionally done by Dave and Matt Vans in Gypsum, CO. I have had two favorite trips in the van so far: 1: Mt. Bachelor, Oregon 2: Moab, Utah. I am a huge snowboarder and Mt. Hood Meadows is my home mountain. Nothing beats waking up at the mountain to fresh snow fall! In the summer, I love to camp at the local lakes like Timothy Lake and Trillium Lake to Stand Up Paddle board and hang in my hammock. I also love to go mountain biking and Oregon has awesome trails like Sandy Ridge Trail and Post Canyon in Hood River. The beauty of the van, the options are almost endless on the beautiful scenery you could see. Stay Wyld Adventures LLC was created to offer a premium PNW Adventure Van rental experience. Stay Wyld was founded on the premise of finding more joy in life and staying wild and free along the way. I believe life is meant to be lived, all in. The PNW is a wonderland of beautiful views from the beauty of the Oregon Coast to the peaks of Mt. Hood Meadows, to the magnitude of Crater Lake, there is no shortage of activities, views, breweries, and food. Whatever adventure you choose, Forest is ready to take you there.

Sam is an amazing host and she provides everything you would need if you’re a renter flying into the area! We had the most amazing time traveling in her van. She has thought through all the details making camping so easy. The van was clean and organized, very well taken care of, and had tons of room for storage. Sam was wonderful to work with, she provided great travel recommendations and was very responsive with all communication. I would 100% recommend Forest to everyone looking for an amazing and seamless adventure!

Sam got everything right with this adventure van: comfortable, well stocked, very clean, reliable operation. Moreover, she is the best host I've ever worked with (including many past home rentals). She was a quick and thorough communicator from start to finish. Lastly, her pride in the van and the rental experience she delivers really shines through. Great job, Sam!

One of the best trips I’ve ever been on-seeing Olympic national forest while staying in Forest the Adventure Van was wonderful! Easy to drive, comfortable, and it came with everything we could possibly need. We truly had a fantastic van camping experience. Highly, highly recommended!

The trip was perfection from start to finish! Sam was exceptionally thoughtful and thorough in the way that she prepped the van and walked me through how to use it. FOREST is a dream to drive and I was extremely comfortable while camping. I will definitely rent FOREST again and am excited for our next adventure.

I had a wonderful long weekend in Forest. I can't rate this van high enough, and I have rented several. Forest was easy to drive, comfortable, perfectly organized, spotlessly clean, and every item you could possibly need was provided. Sam was very easy to work with and flexible. I can't wait to take another adventure in Forest!

Sam’s van is awesome! Brand spankin’ new, beautifully set up, thoughtfully appointed and well organized! The heater is fantastic on snowy nights. The fall ceiling and the windows in all directions give this van a super roomy feel. It’s easy to drive and made our trip w everything we hoped for. Sam’s walk through is thorough and very helpful. We had unexpected snow on our last night/morning and were running behind. She was so gracious and helpful when I texted her about our delay.
Don’t hesitate on this one! A+++++

This was the best, most low-stress trip we've had in a long time! We brought too much stuff, as we're new to Van camping, but also 'Forest' was very well-equipped with all the cooking/eating, chairs and bedding that you'll need for two people. Sam is very thorough and thought of everything and this Adventure Van was the perfect fit for off-grid camping. Thanks again Sam!

Had a great adventure! Sam thought of everything! She has put a lot of effort into preparing the campervan with many accoutrements e.g. mini waffle maker, induction cooking set-up, collapsible hot water kettle, all the makings for that morning cup of coffee. The journey was made so comfortable by Samʻs attention to detail. Take a trip in “Forest” - all you need to pack is your duds and eats!
