Maui Camping Vehicles is owned and operated by Jay Ahina (born and raised on the island of Maui) with partner Cecily (from upcountry Maui). We are dedicated to facilitating safe, affordable, and fun Maui adventures with all the freedom and indulgence a vacation on wheels entails. We are proud to be able to offer an amazing opportunity to explore for those who really want to get to know the island outside of resort life.

We had a great time renting the jeep. Pickup was smooth and the jeep was in good condition and properly equipped with everything we need. Would highly recommend staying at camp Olowalu and Tony's place (will have to call to reserve a spot) if you want to stay in Hana and extend the road to Hana experience. There are a lot of places to stay at the island that aren't necessarily marked as camping, you just wont have a shower/bathroom.

This was the perfect vehicle to take camping! We were impressed at how many amenities it had, everything you could want or need for a great camping experience. Jay communicated clearly and quickly. I would highly recommend this!

Suzie and her owners made for a splendid week-long camping getaway for two mid-thirties adventuresome sisters. Cecily and Jay were wonderfully supportive and flexible when our dates changed and this thoughtfulness continued through the trip as the rig was stocked with only the newest and cared for equipment that covered every base. From sharp knives to full water jugs, airport drop off and pick-up we were able to land in Maui and get right to the fun. Suzie drives great on Maui’s windy roads and the rooftop text kept us breezy on hot mornings and up high and dry on rainy nights. Really a comfortable way to visit and enjoy Maui for the adventurous. THANK YOU!
