Memories made on trips with Corey Rush's RVs

Kent B.

2August 2021

The RV runs and drives well, but HAS NUMEROUS OPERATING AND CONDITION ISSUES which need to be addressed:
-Missing license plate and marker lights
-Nonfunctioning brake lights
-Missing/nonfunctioning smoke detector
-Broken and leaking toilet
-Odometer reads in km, not miles. Keeping track and converting mileage may be necessary.
-Weak to nonexistent air conditioning which may rely on generator usage.
-Questionable repairs made to front of vehicle that could turn off many renters.
Vehicle should have a complete inspection since it involves the vehicle's compromised front bumper due to previous damage described by owner as a deer strike.
Owner has made haphazard repairs up to this point with putty and caulking which are frankly unsightly and have rendered the side fender inspection panels inoperable since they are now fixed to the bumper.
Subsequently the front bumper was improperly remounted by neglecting to connect to frame mounts, is ill-repaired and is cracked across its entire width, sometimes again having been addressed by large amounts of caulk putty to fill in large gaps and cracks.
Owner may say to not worry about many issues with the vehicle, but only after bringing them to his attention, and not being previously disclosed before LOSING DEPOSIT and full payment being processed.
It is similar to being trapped in a rental contract with faulty equipment and having no recourse.
At time of my rental, TOILET LEAKS guaranteed that questionable water flowed onto floors of toilet room, bathroom space and kitchen areas on a daily basis. This was also NOT DISCLOSED until time of rental, and is a potentially DANGEROUS HEALTH RISK.
Terms of generator usage were changed without notification after I requested a reservation. I was able to negotiate the original terms in effect at time of booking my own reservation, but only after explicitly asking, OWNER DID NOT INFORM ME OF ANY CHANGES.
Be aware that at time of my rental, DASH A/C DOES NOT COOL EFFECTIVELY, so any significant air conditioning may require use of the generator, per recommendation of owner, which will quickly use up future daily generator allowances. Purchase of 2 bottles of refrigerant during my rental only provided benefit for about a week and the temporary effect was only moderate.
On some items the owner was flexible, but be advised, YOU MAY NOT BE NOTIFIED of changes made to your contract terms, nor of existing damage on vehicle not disclosed at rental departure. Any damages not disclosed by owner may be attempted to be claimed against renters by owner upon return.
Even if owner explicitly says not to worry about damages noticed after departure, they may attempt to file a claim.
