Tom was an excellent host and was very flexible for our pick up and drop off times. The vehicle was easy to drive and and set up and accommodated our family with dog quite well. We took it to Yellowstone and it handled the hills and the curvy roads.

Bottom line first: Tom is a good and honest guy, and the RV is OK, and fits the price you pay for it. I would recommend it for long weekend adventures in Spring/Fall.
After our two week vacation and 2500 miles - we are glad we rented it, but wouldn't do it all over again, and I'll explain.
The problems we had:
It's a 2006 ford F-350 with low mileage (less than 30K), so on one hand the motor is a great machine, tuned and ready to fly. On the other hand, it IS 14 years old, so you can expect to have some problems - we had to miss half a day due to the alternator failing, getting roadside assistance, then go to auto repair and wait for a new alternator. On the following day, the driver side power window got stuck half way and I had to fix that too (both Tom paid in full with no extra delays!). The rest of the RV experience was OK, but I must say the RV feels kinda fragile. In the summer expect the generator to fail when trying to keep the A/C running in the RV area (which happens to many RV units as I've heard), and the cockpit floor gets extremely hot. In the winter, or simply cold nights in the mountains, keep in mind the furnace is awfully noisy (which also is common in RVs I hear).
The car stereo is old and has one disc slot, one cassette slot (!) and no AUX input jack.
Slide-locks are required to be used, and it's a nag, and forgetting it once while opening the slide-out can cause serious damage (we did). Look it up.
The good part:
The motor is very strong, the cockpit is comfy and the car's A/C works great, the cruise control works great.
In the RV part - it is very roomy and comfortable, the kitchen is very well-equipped, there's a lot of family space when the slide-outs are open, and there's lots of storage room in the bedroom closets. There's a good media entertainment system with a flat screen HD TV and DVD player with good sound.
Disclosure: This review has been written after Tom and I had agreed to deduct 330$ from my deposit due to damage inflicted to a slide-out by a slide-lock left in place while opening the slide-out. I still believe this review has been written objectively and honestly, regardless of that incident. I have no personal issues with Tom and he is a good guy as I said before.

This was my first RV rental experience, and I was quite pleased. Although the RV is 14 years old, it is well maintained, clean, and everything works. Our rental was problem free, and Tom was a great host, both helpful and communicative.

Tom was very pleasant to deal with. I was even willing to work with us when something unexpected came up with our family. I would recommend him to anyone.

I loved everything about this RV. I wasn’t sure how to use a few things and Tom was patient enough to walk me through it all AND answer all my questions that I rattled off. He didn’t even mind my excessive excitement over the little things (like the curtains separating the cockpit from the living room). Needless to say, the special weekend I planned for my family was nicely complimented with this sweet RV. We will see you for our next adventure Tom!!

Tom was absolutely wonderful. He made it easy for us to enjoy our son's birthday RV celebration. Everything about the transaction was efficient and top notch. The RV was clean and everything we needed. Thanks again, Tom, for making our kids RV dream come true.
