Love Kelly, very grateful for the experience. It would be great if cleaning and site fee and even stationary insurance were included in nightly fee so that it would be easier to compare apples to apples with hotel prices before beginning to book. The camper is beautiful, comfy, & a short walk to Harry Harris Park. The beach still isn't open yet due to hurricane Irma repairs, but there is a great state park (John Pennecamp with Far & Cannon beaches) 22 min north and Anne's Beach a little further south.

Refuge’s answer

Thanks Lori, it was my pleasure to host you and your family. The beach has just been closed for repairs and should be open again by June. It would be great if all fees could be rolled up into 1.... but I have only so much abilities within the OD platform. Hopefully we will host you again the future.

The Refuge is a very private and secluded getaway yet convenient to everything in Tavernier. We opted to stay at the owners private property and not use it at a campground which is an option given by the owners. The owners have provided everything you’ll need for your stay. The refuge was in new condition and very clean and comfortable. Our vacation was perfect!!

Had a great stay at the “refuge” The camper was brand new and the hosts set us up for success. Super private neighborhood and close to everything keys.

We did a stationary rental from Kelly. They have positioned the camper in their side yard that gives the most privacy & have fashioned a lovely site for sitting outside. There was plenty of room for parking our truck. From The Refuge we explored the area. Went as far north as the Everglades National Park 1.5 hour north & south to Marathon about 1.5 hours as well. Lots of great good nearby both ocean & gulf views. The little beach at Islamorada town park was very nice & park entry includes their pool. Camper was just the right size for 2 people & was equipped well for preparing breakfast & lunch.

What a great place to stay! It really is a 'Refuge'. We took advantage of the 'onsite' rental the owners offer. The RV is on a lot adajacent to the owners property. It is situated next to an empty lot that gives you the sense you are alone in a Keys paradise. The area is quiet, good for walking or biking and there is a county waterfront park close by.
