Upon arrival the entry to the park was well manicured, however the rv parking area looked nothing like the photos and is misrepresented it. The RV area is open with no shade other than about 6 sites. The dog park and game area is far from the RV parking area thus the dogs don’t make it to the dog run before needing to do their thing. There were lots of areas to walk which were shaded and mowed allowing for many enjoyable walks along the flowing creeks through out the park.
While there we lost water twice. The park did not notify us they were out of water, however, upon talking to a visitor to the park who visits there annually, we found out the water wells are shallow and due to the severe drought their shallow wells ran out of water. Thus we needed to do laundry before leaving however were not able to. Luckily we brought lots of bottled water with us for drinking, making coffee, etc. We had some water in our fresh water tank to flush toilets and do dishes.
The park has a great text message reminder system, however, when it was urgent due to a water shortage, they did not utilize it, leaving us hanging. People in our rv group called to inform the park that we were all out of water.
